About

Welcome to West Coast Karma

Thank you so much for being here.

West Coast Karma is a family-owned Canadian business based in the beautiful Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. Since 2015, we've been creating nature-inspired art, clothing, and gifts that celebrate the places, wildlife, and communities we love.

Our journey began long before West Coast Karma officially launched. In 2012, we welcomed our son into the world, and shortly afterward discovered we were expecting twins. By 2013, we had three children born within a single year. Our children have always been our greatest inspiration and the driving force behind everything we do.

When our twins were just six months old, we made the decision to move from Australia back to Vancouver Island. We arrived with four suitcases, no jobs, no savings, and no clear idea of what the future would hold. Looking back, we never could have imagined that only a few years later we would be building a business rooted in creativity, community, and a deep love for the West Coast.

Since those early days, West Coast Karma has grown and evolved in many ways. What began as our own creative venture has expanded into a collaborative effort with talented local artists who bring their own unique perspectives, styles, and stories to many of our designs.

Today, you'll find us in our storefront in downtown Courtenay, where we proudly showcase our own collection alongside the work of more than 30 local makers, artists, and entrepreneurs. Supporting fellow creatives and helping share their work with the community is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

When you choose to shop with a small business like ours, you're supporting real people, local jobs, and the dreams of independent artists and makers. Every purchase truly makes a difference.

We are forever grateful for the support we've received from our community, customers, friends, family, and fellow artisans. Thank you for being part of our story and for helping us continue to create, grow, and give back.

From our family to yours,

Gabby, Mel & Family
